Valley Home
Clint & Cindy Cannon

The construction of the house can be separated into several phases:

Framing

Strawbale

The west and south walls of the main floor were built using the double stackwall technique, first developed by Cliff Shockey of Saskatchewan.

The upper story of the house is supported by a post and beam structure, with the bale wall and stackwall added as infill between the posts.

The house sits on a thickened-edge slab. The entire main floor heating system is in-floor heat using heating pipe encased in the slab.
